Help me choose a name, win a Raspberry Pi bundle

So, in the UK, a Dingleberry is a stupid or inept person. In America, it’s something a bit more horrific. When I started this blog, I never imagined it would have gained the reach and audience it has, so the time has come to change the name. In order to grow the site further and to be taken a bit more seriously, the name ‘Dingleberry Pi’ has to go!

New name

So, here’s the thing. Help me choose a name, win yourself a Raspberry Pi bundle. The bundle includes:

  • Raspberry Pi Model B
  • SD Card with Raspbian pre-installed
  • Raspberry Pi Case

All you need to do is leave a comment with your suggestion. I’ll choose a name in a month’s time. Thanks!

Update – A new name has been selected

A big thanks to Will Stone for coming up with RaspiPress as the new name. Your Raspberry Pi bundle is on its way over to you.

It’s very stupid, : ‘Rasperry Pi’

It looks that’s available, but it’s been bought to sell it.

  2. I allways liked names with less “in your face”, less clearly related to the subject.

RAMP was my first thought…. but its not on apache anymore so that doesn’t work.

    Jabberwocky Pi
would be cool… and play into the aesthetic of dingleberry while elevating it to a more well respected word…..

    Just to preserve semantics: jingleberrypi

Btw, my congrats for The good job!

  16. How about DERPleberry Pi? It kind of jives with the Dingleberry concept.

derp: A simple, undefined reply when an ignorant comment or action is made. Brought to life in the South Park series, when Mr. Derp made a guest apperance at South Park Elementary as the chef for a day, followed by hitting himself in the head with a hammer and exclaiming “Derp!”

You can take your pick of http://www.derpleberrypi.??? TDLs by the looks of it too!

How about Pressed Raspberry? Or Pressed Pi? Or simply Press Pi? Simple, and the name actually references what you’re working on :).

Thanks for all the tutorials and hope these help!

blopi, which means blog + pi, syllables smooth enough to remember.

  27. DragonBerryPi …. based on the fruit of the same name and your Welsh heritage

  28. dragonberrypi.com … relating to the fruit of the same name and a nod towards your Welsh heritage/background

  29. I like dingleberrypi as it is 🙂

  30. Dean says:

    314Raspberries (314-raspberries — any combination really)
    RasPIan

work with me on this one, it’s more about the website logo….Raspb3rr4.p1 — the 3 is obvious. The four is an “opened-top” four dropped halfway down the line for a “Y”. The .p1 will be below and between the 3 and 4. So it reads out Raspberry.Pi with 3.14 incorporated into it.

  31. Dean says:

    Dunceberry Pi
